Can we remind you the camping is free, the facilities are basic, however we do have showers that are hot and cold but maybe not it the order you would wish! The water pressure is poor and water levels vary. If you feel that you are unable to accept these standards please feel free to contact the local Hotel or B&B's.
Safety Regulations: We have to comply with regulations that stipulate a 2m space between tents and Vehicles/ vans used for accommodation. We will try our best to ensure you camp in your favorite spot, however please don't bite our heads off if we ask you to comply with the regulation. We will be reminding you on arrival and throughout the set up stage.
Loos: We will be installing the luxury loos again this year.
Eco Loos: As a back up system, we will have long drop loos in place this year.
Gas shower system: We have imported a gas operated shower system from U.S.A A gas opperated standalone shower.
Re-cycling / Composting: The composting area will be in use again. A re-cycling area has been built by Angus council to help us do our bit for the environment.
Food: Fabians kitchen will be on site this year.
Shopping: The post office & shop has been taken over by the local community times vary. Kirriemuir is the closest shop (co-op).
No Dog Policy
No dogs on site at all times. (you will be asked to remove you dog from the site)
Angus Arts Angus arts will be with us for parts of the week providing workshops for all the family
Other forms of accommodation Vans & Yurts
If you wish to use and alternative method of camping eg, Camper van or Yurt etc you must book these in advance before arrival to check there is space. Due to a lack of flat van space and 2m space regulations we are asking Van campers not to use awnings for 2011. Covers from one vehicle to another is now forbidden (sorry!)
Arrival: Please do not arrive until Monday morning you will not be able to pitch your tent on the site until Monday. If you arrive before the Monday we will have to charge you a £50 surcharge to cover out of hours insurance and site services.
Bring a Chair To help with workshops and for your comfort during the festival it is a good idea to bring your own camping chair. Best to bring the type without arm rests if you drum!
HELP US To be more environment friendly, please where possible remove wrapping, boxes, packaging before you pack it in your vehicle as it will have to be disposed of when you arrive at Glen Isla.
Water If possible bring some water for the first day to save impact on the minimal water supply to the camping area.
