Kapanlogo     Drum village welcomes Ben Lawrence he will be teaching rhythms from Ghana on the Kapanlogo drum


 Dance  Traditional dances taught from various parts of Africa e.g. Zimbabwe, Guinea, Gambia, and SenegalClasses will be available for all abilities. There will be a mixture of indoor and outdoor dancing.


 Song Singing will be an integral part of the festival, with traditional songs from Africa. All levels will be
 welcome.

U'Zambezi

 
U'Zambezi Arts are Southern African song, dance, drummers and related arts troupe. The group draws its membership from arts consultants, arts managers, arts education specialists and arts enthusiasts who all came together for the love of their Southern African traditions and heritages.

Some members of the group have performed for the like of Nelson Mandela, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and a host of other dignitaries and yet the contrast they seem to have as much passion to work with small rural schools and communities. A good number of U Zambezi’ artists have shared stages with the like of Jimmy Cliff, Craig David, Peter Gabriel,-appeared on high profile shows like Blue Peter, Later with Jools Holland, Canada’s City TV amongst a whole list. Venues have also varied from Opera de Paris to the JFK in Washington DC to London’s Royal Festival Hall.

Fungai Gahadzikwa
Born into an mbira-playing family, and himself a  player since the age of five, Fungai has toured UK and Zimbabwe with groups such as Stella Chiweshe's Earthquake Band, Beular Dyoko, and others. He is also a gifted teacher, and loves to pass on his culture, teaching workshops in mbira and singing.
 
Erin Macdonnell
Playing since 1989, Erin toured UK and the Far East with the late Newmas Kunatsa, and was one of the first British players in the UK. She toured with Charwell Dutiro in Will Menters collaboration "Strong Winds and Soft Earth Landings" and teaches World Music to choirs in Wales and around the country.
 
Emily Chinamwoyo
Is a singer and dancer, only recently arrived from Zimbabwe with her husband and children. She has delighted local audiences with her unstoppable energy, and her golden voice, and she's is currently passing on songs to the St Dogmaels Choir.
