All good things must come to an end! ..... Yes Folks African Drum Village have decided to call it a day and ADV this year ( our 10th Birthday!) will be the last in the current format.
We feel that under the current economic climate it is difficult to organise a quality event that means paying artists a decent wage for their work and charge an affordable price for a ticket. ADV have always been proud of the value for money and we are not prepared to compromise on quality.....
We have had 10 incredible years of laughter, tears and friendship, incredible artists, like Famoudou Konate the Zawose family, Jally Kebba Suso, Seckou Keita, Nansady Keita, Chartwell Dutiro, Grassroots, Mocolou Sawane, Ali Bangoura, Baba Kone, Babacarr Dieng, Pap Dieng, Issa Sawane, Sens Sanga, Iya Sako, Koulaty Kabo, Anna Mudeka, Awa Goudiaby, Idrissa Camara, Malo Sonko, Karim Mbaye, Ibu, Denise Rowe, Baka Beyond, Samba Sene, Ben Laurence, Tanante, Kakasitsi, Mohamed Gueye, Andy McLaren plus an incredible crew of helpers not to mention Fabian and Heathers brilliant food. Apologies if I have missed your name...
We hope to make ADV 2013 a special occasion to mark our 10th anniversary and go out with a bang!
